There were a lot of amazing vendors, and it’s especially exciting to see someone you’ve stalked online offering their wares in person. Meg A. Myers is talented, sweet and her display was among my favorite. Shapes and Colors pillows have been in my etsy favorites for months and they look even greater in person. Cairo had the softest tees and tanks made of a mix of cotton and silk in really good designs you want to wear everyday even if you aren’t a t shirt kind of person.
SF Renegade was awesome. It’s in such a beautiful spot, right on the water and Sunday morning there’s a farmer’s market right outside. There’s nothing greater than meeting such people that are so supportive and encouraging, other vendors and buyers. I have a lot of love for San Fran, this will probably always be my favorite Renegade to go to.
I just finished two weeks and logged over 2,000 miles driving through California with my sister We were going to the Renegade Craft Fairs in SF and LA. Our time in SF went quick, we had breakfast at the Ferry building and took the ferry to Sausalito. The scent of black licorice had us jumping in bushes to find the wild fennel. We went to the Heath Ceramics Factory, touched probably everything in the shop and left with one small bud vase. I couldn’t stop spotting lots of good tiling like the lime green ones at Mission Cheese where we shared a California cheese flight for lunch.
I’ll be road tripping out to these shows this month with a couple nights in big sur in between. Can’t wait!
There’s a pretty little spring look book up as well as all the new pieces up in my shop.

Kelli modeled my new spring pieces last weekend and I am so excited to show them. These are my favorite I’ve made, so far.
In The Hidden Life Within, Italian artist Guiseppe Penone carves out a young tree with an older tree to reveal its past, showing us what once grew inside so that it may now “live in the present.”

1. Work on one thing at a time until finished.
2. Start no more new books, add no more new material to “Black Spring.”
3. Don’t be nervous. Work calmly, joyously, recklessly on whatever is in hand.
4. Work according to Program and not according to mood. Stop at the appointed time!
